Join our 2020-21 Reading Journey to Put Faith to Work through Love for our World’s Girls

What matters is faith working through love.

~ Galatians 5:6 (HCSB)

If you find your curiosity piqued and a movement of love arising in your heart to see more of and better understand this ancient yet very contemporary gender-based legacy of slavery – which has its own monuments we need to take down – we invite you to consider joining our 2020–21 #GirlChildLongWalk “reading journey” cohort. The reading journey begins on October 11, International Day of the Girl Child, and runs through March 8, International Women’s Day.

Who knows what the world will be like in October, and in March? But, as we’ve said, this is a long haul, and it’s never too soon to get started. We invite you now to peruse our newly launched website to get a little flavor of the journey, and learn more about how we can dismantle the ancient roots of patriarchy.

There, you will also find an infographic depicting the global “facts on the ground”— “The Intolerable Status Quo”—which highlights how this most ancient oppression of patriarchy lives on within the unjust racial and economic structures of our world.

Status Quo

Please take a few minutes to poke around, explore the terrain of the journey we are preparing for the fall, and consider whether you might like to join us. We welcome your involvement in sharing this with your networks and anyone you think might be interested in learning more about the unique role of faith to liberate the human family from this ancient pandemic.

We hope you can join us!

It is afternoon for us but morning for our world’s girls.
